About and FAQ
Cadence is an endurance training app, in development, for women working towards a goal. It brings together your menstrual cycle, how you feel and the data from your watch to build a plan and adjust it. The app’s website is mycadence.ch.
Frequently asked questions
Who is Cadence for?
Women training for a goal: a 10K, a marathon, a trail race or a sportive.
Is Cadence a period tracking app?
You log your cycle, effort, sleep and symptoms in it, but Cadence is a training app first. This information is used to adapt your plan. It does not predict your periods or ovulation.
How does the plan adapt to my cycle?
You choose your race and its date, and Cadence builds your progression. The plan then adjusts based on your cycle, how you feel and your recovery. For example, if your legs are heavy on the first day of your period, Cadence can suggest an easy run instead of intervals. If you feel good, you keep your session: you decide.
Which watches and services does Cadence work with?
Cadence is being designed to work with Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Whoop, Oura, Apple Health and Health Connect. Every connection is optional: you will also be able to enter everything by hand.
Is the app available?
Not yet. Cadence is in development and we have not announced a release date. You can join the waitlist to follow the project and be among the first invited to the beta.
Where does my data go?
It is hosted in Switzerland. It is never sold or used for advertising, and you choose what you share, and with whom. All the details are in the Privacy Policy.
Is it a medical, fertility or contraception app?
No. Cadence makes training suggestions. It does not diagnose anything, gives no information about fertility and cannot be used as contraception. It does not replace medical advice.
Does Cadence have anything to do with running cadence?
No. Here, Cadence is the name of the app, not the number of steps per minute. It is not linked to other companies or products with this name either.
Who is building Cadence
Cadence is being built by Quentin Krenger and Charlotte Bondaz, alongside their jobs, so that athletes no longer have to choose between their training plan and their cycle.
