Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 2026-10-30. This is a translation: if the two versions differ, the French version prevails.
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the Cadence app and its services (“Cadence”), provided by Quentin Krenger and Charlotte Bondaz (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Cadence.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. Please read it before you sign up.
2. What Cadence is
Cadence helps you plan your endurance training by taking into account your cycle, how you feel and the data from your devices.
Cadence is not a medical device. Cadence does not diagnose, does not treat any illness and does not replace medical advice. It is neither a fertility tool nor a contraceptive: never use it to avoid or achieve a pregnancy.
Plans and adjustments are training suggestions. You decide whether to follow them. Personal insights appear after three full logged cycles and are not medical conclusions.
3. Your health and your training
Sport carries risks. Listen to your body and stop if you feel pain, feel unwell or notice an unusual symptom. See a healthcare professional before starting or changing your training if you have a health condition, if you are pregnant, if you have recently given birth, or if you are in doubt.
4. Who can use Cadence
- Under 13: Cadence is not intended for people of this age.
- 13 to 15: you need the permission of a parent or legal guardian, and their help to set up the privacy settings for your health data.
- 16 and over: you can use Cadence if you are able to accept these terms.
- Paid services, if there ever are any: they are reserved for people aged 18 and over.
5. Your account
You provide accurate information and keep your access details confidential. Tell us at contact@mycadence.ch if you think someone else is using your account.
6. Beta and availability
Cadence is being developed. During the beta, the service is free, features may change or disappear, and interruptions may occur. We do what is needed to provide a reliable service, without guaranteeing that it is always available or free of errors.
The model after the beta is not yet decided. If Cadence becomes paid, we will tell you the prices and conditions in advance, and you will pay nothing without your explicit agreement.
7. Your data
Your data remains yours. You allow us to use it only to provide the service, under the Privacy Policy and the consents you have given. You can withdraw these consents, export your data and delete your account from the app.
8. Connected services
You can connect third-party services, such as your watch. These connections are optional and can be revoked. These services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or for the accuracy of the data they send. If a service changes or withdraws its access, the connection may stop working. The names of these services belong to their owners, and mentioning them does not mean they endorse Cadence.
9. What you agree not to do
You agree not to:
- use Cadence for anything illegal or to access another person’s data;
- try to get around security, disrupt the service or extract its data by automated means;
- copy or resell Cadence, or use it to create a competing service.
10. Intellectual property
The app, its brand, texts and visuals are protected and belong to us or are licensed to us. You receive a personal, non-exclusive and revocable right to use Cadence under these terms. You keep all your rights to your data.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from your following or not following a training suggestion, from an interruption of the service, or from inaccurate data sent by a third-party service. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights that the law of your country guarantees you on a mandatory basis.
12. Ending your use
You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account in case of a serious breach of these terms or a security risk, and we tell you unless the law forbids it. If we stop Cadence, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice so that you have time to export your data.
13. Changes
We may change these terms. For any significant change, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law, and disputes are settled before the Swiss courts. If you live in another country, you keep the mandatory rights and access to the courts that the law of that country guarantees you.
